A comment on Mr JD Salinger's death yesterday. I'm no literary critic nor do I have any credentials to comment on the mans life. I'd just like to say that my sister bought "The catcher in the rye" for me when I was 14 and I remain forever grateful. I read it a half dozen times before I went on to read his other works which were all similarly entertaining.
It was never required reading at our school however my sister instinctively bought it for me and I became a fan. Even to the point where I wanted to track the old dude down, but then I came to my senses. Anyway, maybe there is a vault somewhere with all of his unfinished works and some family member will release them. RIP JD.
